The Analog Hobbyist

A Mea Culpa

Yesterday I hit publish on a post that was not thoroughly researched and edited. The post was a prelude to something bigger I plan to write on the current trend towards autocracy and fascism, but the website I linked as a sort of prelude to the idea should not have been linked. The specific post I linked was harmless, but there was other content on the site platforming some people with questionable histories. In short, I didn't do enough research before posting and ended up deleting the post. It was sloppy on my part and I am working harder to not make the same mistake in the future.

In other news...

I'm currently reading Labor's Partisans: Essential Writings on the Union Movement from the 1950s to Today an anthology of writings on unions and the labor movement published in Dissent magazine. Since my admission to the Millwrights' union, I have been reading up on the history of unions and labor and this book provides an excellent cross-section of what was happening with labor in the U.S. from the 50s to today. Find it at your local library or buy it online here because, fuck Amazon. Additionally, subscribe to Dissent if you feel inclined.

This was a quick one, but I felt the need to address my error. I'm going to start including a link to email me at the bottom of my posts if you would like to reach out.

Say Howdy!

Until next time!
